Hugh Jackman recently reunited with his family in New York City after spending quite some time in Australia.
According to New Idea, Hugh Jackman and his family’s reunion almost didn’t happen if the actor didn’t rush out of the country before the new lockdown restrictions were put in place.
“Hugh decided to return home ahead of schedule as Sydney’s COVID cases began to rise and stronger lockdowns were implemented. He was so sad to leave, but with the situation in Australia being so unpredictable, he didn’t want to be separated from his family any longer. It would’ve been too much to bear,” the source said.
Hugh Jackman looking for another property in Australia
The insider claimed that Jackman had been spending time in Australia because he’s looking for a property to purchase there.
“Although Australia is still Hugh’s physical home, his heart belongs wherever Deb is. She joked he was happier to be reunited with Allegra and Dali [their dogs] than her. But in all seriousness, she was very anxious to have him so far away, with the world the way it is. It’s a huge relief that he’s back in New York,” the source said.
Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman’s hilarious feud
Jackman also made headlines this week after he trolled Ryan Reynolds over not getting invited to Free Guy director Shawn Levy’s party.
On his Twitter account, the actor posted a photo of himself with Free Guy director Levy.
“What’s that @ShawnLevyDirect? You forgot to invite @VancityReynolds to your party? Mate, your secret is safe with me. And…post,” he captioned the snap.
Reynolds will star in Free Guy as the lead star, Guy, a bank teller who learns that he’s a background player in an open-world video game.

According to Comic Book, Jackman and Reynolds’ “feud” has been in play for years.
Last year, the A-listers even took their feud to the next level when they announced that they will be helping two foundations with the help of Sam’s Club.
“We’re bringing The Feud to @SamsClub. I only agreed to do this because it’s for two great foundations. And, it’s always an awesome day when I get to humiliate @VancityRenolds,” Hugh Jackman wrote.
