Humble Bundle kicks off rebranding launch of Humble Games with a charity sale and a limited free offer of GUTS Department’s Aegis Defender.
For those who were not aware, aside from its digital storefront of video games, Humble Bundle also runs an indie game publishing business formerly called Humble Bundle Presents.
On May 14, the San-Francisco-based company officially went live with Humble Games as the “brand new look” of its game publishing team. The rebranding comes with a promise to uphold its commitment to continue supporting the indie developers while being a “force for good in the industry and the world.”
As an overview of the new label, Humble Games writes:
Humble Games is the result of a shared passion to support indie developers, deliver top-quality content to gamers around the world, and continue the Humble mission to be a force for good in the industry and across the globe.
With a dedication to gamers and developers alike, Humble Games is a publisher willing to challenge the norm that has been expected of its predecessors. More Games. Better Games. Fairer Deals. All while prioritizing social impact and social good.
Free Aegis Defender for subscribers
As a rebranding launch giveaway, Humble has offered GUTS Department’s Aegis Defender absolutely free. All there is to do is to create an account on the website, agree to subscribe to the digital storefront’s newsletter, and click on “GET THE GAME.”
For those who haven’t linked their Steam account on Humble yet, there will be the need to do so now as it is a required step before you can fully own the tower defense game.

GUTS Department’s pixel-art 2D tower defense game was released in 2018 and was published by, no other than, Humble Games itself. On Steam, the game typical retails for US$19.99 [AU$30.93].
Aegis Defender is also available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

This time, as part of its Humble Games launch, it kick-started a “Build Your Own Bundle” Charity Sale that offers titles up to 50% off. The proceeds of every bundle purchased will go to Direct Relief, Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health, the International Rescue Committee.
