TGS 2020 has a lot of stars, but so far, it’s Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity that’s been the most popular. Fans of the series will appreciate the game even more with what Nintendo has revealed.
Since being revealed early this year, Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity has become a highly anticipated title. It’s even more anticipated for those that have played The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. What’s exciting is that during TGS 2020, Koei revealed a special bonus for players of both games.
Save transfers
Nintendo has revealed that players who have a save of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on their Switch can receive a special bonus. The bonus is a special weapon called the Training Blade. It’s not an impressive weapon, but it’s going to give series fans more reason to play the game.
Aside from this, players can also grab a special ladle and potlid weapon set for pre-ordering the game. This weapon set, as well as the training blade, are neat bonuses that players can get for being great fans of the game. Of course, players are also excited to see what other weapons are joining the game.
Weapons in ‘Breath of the Wild’
Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity will most likely feature weapons drawn from The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. In the game, Link can get special weapons from the four fallen champion’s home town. It’s likely that these weapons are going to be used by the four champions in the game.
It seems unlikely that the Musou game will have the same durability system that Breath of the Wild has. If it did, fans are most likely going to hate it as it will be problematic for such a game.
In The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, the weapons break after a set number of uses. Basically, it forced players to change their weapons again and again. In Musou games, weapons tend not to break, and players often find countless weapon boxes during a single battle scenario.
Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity will reward players who have also played The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. While the reward may be small, it’s certainly appreciated. Not many games give out bonuses for having a save of the prequel anymore. Players should try and pre-order as soon as possible.
