The wait for The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 is probably still long. The good news is that the wait for Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity isn’t.
Just a few days ago, Nintendo revealed Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity, a new spin-off game set 100 years before Breath of the Wild. Since being revealed, a lot of fans wanted to see more of the game. However, the wait won’t have to be longer for an extended look at the action-packed spin-off.
Deep dive coming soon
By the end of the reveal video for the game, it was revealed that more details would be coming on Sept. 26. Fans had believed that this could mean that the game will be revealed along with a Nintendo Direct. However, it seems like the stream will be solely for the game.

According to the TGS 2020 schedule, the Sept. 26 update will be 50-minutes of gameplay footage. This basically confirms that no Nintendo Direct will be happening later this month unless Nintendo decides to hold one.
During this stream, players can expect to see most of the game’s features. While it is a spin-off, this Hyrule Warriors entry is different as the events will be canon to the main game.
More about the game
Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity falls under the Musou genre popularized by Dynasty Warriors. In fact, the series will be made by the same team making the action game.
In Musou games, players roam around in a huge battlefield. Most of the times, players are outnumbered by enemy troops. The series is known for pitting players against thousands of enemies in a single game.
Since this is a Breath of the Wild remake, fans have a few expectations already. For starters, it’s a guarantee that Link, Zelda, Orbosa, Daruk, Revali, and Mipha will be playable characters. Fans want to see who else will be joining the roster. The first Hyrule Warriors had a sizeable roster, but this is because the developers took characters from across the franchise.
Apart from the fighting, fans will most likely see the new iteration of Legend Mode. In the first Hyrule Warriors, this is a fun feature that allowed players to explore the classic Zelda map. Progressing means unlocking new weapons, items, and more.
Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity launches this November for the Switch. If players order now, they’ll get a bonus weapon set for Link.
