Iggy Azalea announced her indefinite hiatus to pursue other creative projects.
This week, Iggy Azalea surprised her fans with news about her decision to step away from her music career temporarily. Per the singer, the hiatus will last for a few years to allow herself to focus on “other creative projects.”
Azalea explained her decision on her Twitter account, revealing that her absence will start after the release of her new album.
“End of an Era is so special to me because after I drop my album next month I am going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things I’m feeling passionate [about] and inspired by, beyond music,” she said.
The 31-year-old rapper recently released her third studio album titled End of an Era. Still, she aims to show the different sides of her aside from being a rapper.
Per Azalea, she feels excited about the upcoming shifts. The time she uses on different projects will, reportedly, help her realize what is right for her.
Despite stepping down from the music industry’s stage, she wished for her fans to continue supporting her. In the end, Azalea promised her fans to see them again on tour soon.
