Valve just released the 7.27c update for Dota 2, and players should be well aware of all the changes. The update focuses on hero balancing, so it’s a must that players stay in the know.
Dota 2 update 7.27c is now live, and Valve made sure that the game gets balanced somehow with the update. As this is a MOBA, these minor and major changes can shake up the meta somehow. These are the biggest changes in the update we’ve seen so far.
The biggest loser in the recent update is Underlord, as he got a massive nerf in it. Once the update is installed, his Atrophy Aura will have a reduced radius from 1200 to 900. His Pit of Malic and Firestorm also has its cast range reduced from 750 to 675.
The update forces Underlord to go nearer when casting spells. As a hero that relies entirely on skills, the nerf puts him in more danger now.
Not everyone is a loser in the update as Razor is a big winner in it. For starters, he gets an increase to his intelligence and agility gain. His movement speed has also been upped to 285. As for his skills, his Storm Surge speed has increased from 8/12/16/20% to 12/16/20/24%.
The update makes Razor a good hunter. His increased movement speed and Storm Surge speed makes him dangerous for heroes on low health.

Another hero with a significant change in the recent Dota 2 update is Bloodseeker. In the update, his Thirst creep kill has been upped from 6/9/12/15% to 8/12/16/20%. His other changes change the values of his other abilities, which are not as significant as the Thirst change.
Everyone’s favorite skeletal archer is on the wrong side of the update as well. His Searing Arrows damage has been reduced from 30/40/50/60 to 24/36/48/60. His Strafe attack speed reduced from 110/140/170/200 to 90/120/150/180. Lastly, his Death Pact health gains reduced from 60/80/100% to 40/70/100%, and its damage gain reduced from 6/10/14% to 4/9/14%.
Overall, the minor buff may not be that visible at first hand, but players are certainly going to feel its impact in-game.
These changes in Dota 2 aren’t exactly meta changing. However, the changes for Razor and Underlord is very significant. Players using these heroes may need to change up the way they play. For Underlord, it’s time to equip more durability items. For Razor, it might be wise to focus on movement speed, and attack speed boosts.
