In The Dark season 2 is halfway through its episodes and things are starting to get more dramatic and intense. Find out what’s coming up next in episodes 7 and 8.
In The Dark is an American drama TV series in CW. Created by Corinne Kingsbury, the series follows Murphy Mason (Perry Mattfield), a blind woman in her 20’s.
She has an introverted personality and tends to be self-destructive. But when her best friend Tyson (Thamela Mpumlwana) was murdered, she found herself a new purpose.
She wanted to find out who killed Tyson. The story of the series kicks off from there. The first season premiered on April 4, 2019, and ended on June 27, 2019.
It was then renewed for a second season which already started airing episodes since April 16, 2020. The show is now set to drop episodes 7 and 8 on May 28 and June 4 respectively.
What’s coming up?
According to the official synopsis, In The Dark season 2 episode 7 is titled “The Straw That Broke the Camel’s Back.”
It’s going to put Murphy in a complicated situation as she continues to help Max (Casey Deidrick), who is not getting any luck at all. Murphy will be forced to take more extreme risks because of him.
Meanwhile, Felix (Morgan Krantz) is going to deal with the issues at Guiding Hope. Jess (Brooke Markham) on the other hand will go through some struggles as all her relationships are tested.
Chloe (guest star Calle Walton) will be introduced to Dean’s (Rich Sommer) new partner Gene (guest star Matt Murray). Apparently, Gene holds information that will make Chloe grow even more suspicious of her own father.
Episode 8 spoilers
The plot will continue on to episode 8 which is titled “Codependence Day.” The official synopsis reveals that Murphy will be convincing Jess to help her take care of a drug mission.
Felix will face some legal predicaments and it’s most likely something to do with the previous issues at the Guiding Hope.

As for Dean, it looks like things are going his way as his partner Gene shows some real talent on the job. He might finally get a lead that could expose Murphy’s plans.
Meanwhile, Nia (guest star Nicki Micheaux) will start to doubt Darnell’s (Keston John) loyalty. She will start to have some questions about his motives and actions. Lastly, Murphy will be visiting Max.
Season 3 update
The series is expected to have a total of 14 episodes for season 2. And that means there’s just a few more episodes left until the season finale.
But avid followers of the show do not have anything to worry. The story will live on to a third season. The dramedy has already been renewed for season 3, ahead of its season 2 airing.
“These early orders for next season give our production teams a head start in plotting out story arcs and a jump on hiring staff,” said CW president Mark Pedowitz.
This is good news for In The Dark fans!
