505 Games’ platforming RPG Indivisible caught the eye of dj2 Entertainment and is being turned into a Television series likely to land on NBC’s new streaming service.
dj2 Entertainment—a production company that specializes in adapting video games to TV and film—has reportedly taken an interest in turning the 2019 role-playing game Indivisible into a TV show.
Meg LeFauve and Jonathan Fernandez have allegedly signed on as the show’s writers, with LeFauve being Oscar-nominated for her role in Disney Pixar’s Inside Out screenplay. Fernandez, on the other hand, was part of the team behind Star Trek Enterprise.
According to the entertainment publication Deadline, the series is being developed for Peacock—NBC’s brand new streaming service. An official announcement has yet to be made, however.

What is Indivisible?
Indivisible is an action RPG with platforming elements from developer Lab Zero and Publisher 505 Games. It made its debut on October 8, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and was later ported to the Nintendo Switch on April 28, 2020.
The southeast Asian mythology-inspired title started as a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, looking for a $1,500,000 budget, which the project eventually raised despite a distinctly sluggish start.
The game’s narrative revolves around protagonist Ajna, a rough-around-the-edges tomboy with a heart of gold, who’s life takes a dark turn after her village is decimated under the orders of the wicked warlord Ravannavar.
After Ravannavar’s lieutenant Dhar murders Ajna’s father, she awakens the ability to transport special beings called “Incarnations” inside her mind, which she promptly uses on Dhar.

Soon after, she embarks on a journey to track down Ravannavar and avenge her father, meeting colorful characters and discovering more about her mysterious abilities along the way.
Indivisible features a gorgeous hand-drawn art-style, while its platforming elements and overall combat mechanics take obvious inspiration from Square Enix’s Valkyrie Profile. The offbeat RPG was met positive reviews, with its highlights being its art and soundtrack.
dj2 Entertainment’s repertoire
According to their official website, the production company is “led by lifelong gamers and media professionals,” and is best known for co-producing Paramount’s wildly successful Sonic The Hedgehog movie adaptation.
That’s just the beginning, however, as dj12 Entertainment has huge plans to adapt several other video game titles to the small and big screens, including Life is Strange, Vampyr, Echo, Sleeping Dogs, My Friend Pedro, and Disco Elysium.

It seems turning video games into animated series is all the rage nowadays, following Netflix’s hit Castlevania anime, and its recently announced Dragon’s Dogma TV show. Indivisible may be a lot bubblier in comparison, but its quirky cast of characters and interesting lore should make for a great watch nonetheless.
