A latest iPhone 12 Pro chassis leak confirms that the new lineup of Apple’s smartphone is going back to its retro iPhone 4 look of the earlier years.
Today marks the beginning of Apple’s venture into a new page of its history. Due to the pandemic, the company has been forced to rethink its launch strategies. Instead of announcing new products in wide intervals, Apple is going all-in these last few months of 2020.
At 10 AM PDT, Apple is expected to launch the newest Apple Watch and iPad Air. Unfortunately, there will be no iPhones in the announcement. However, it could be teased as the new smartphones will definitely come a few weeks after “Time Flies.”
Be that as it may, the fans cannot wait longer as more leaks about the new phones surface on the internet.
iPhone 12 Pro chassis looks a lot like the iPhone 4
It was rumored as early as March of this year that Apple is going back to its retro look for the iPhones. In other words, the iPhone 12 will look similar to the iPhone 4 body. The sides of the new smartphones will be flat and boxy. The same design language is implemented on the iPad Pro. The latest iPad Air will also allegedly look the same.

The latest Twitter leak of EverythingApplePro sort of confirms the boxy iPhone 12 design. In his five-second video, he shows off what looks like the chassis of the iPhone 12. The body seems convenient to hold and sturdy even on a smaller hand.
In addition, the camera lens cut out at the back also confirms the rumors about iPad Pro 2020 camera lenses on the new phones. In other words, not only will the iPhone 12 Pro get three camera lenses, but it will also get a LiDAR scanner. This feature allows for a heightened level of depth-sensing to capture photos with a greater 3D and realistic effect.
What to expect on the new flagship ultra-premium phones?
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be two of the most high-end phones in the market when they launch. These two smartphones are expected to come with mmWave 5G antennas for specific models. However, for the majority of the markets, they will only come with sub-6GHz bands.
Nevertheless, everything else inside the chassis of the Pro model phones will be the same across all markets. They are expected to come with the latest A14 chip, which will be the fastest and the most efficient processor ever from Apple.
