Just less than a year after iPhone 12 was launched and already, Apple has us again on pins and needles courtesy of rumors about the iPhone 13. Now, multiple search engines are flooded with queries about what the latest gizmo has to offer and the hunt for all relevant information about it begins.
So what do we know so far?
Recent updates
Recently, a video of what appears to be a dummy unit of iPhone 13 Pro Max leaked and it gave us a peek of what the modified design looks like, including the smaller notch and bigger camera lenses. It has also been reported that Apple will get some circuit boards from Samsung for the iPhone 13 Pro models. The development almost confirms that the new phone series will feature displays with dynamic refresh rates.
Putting the pieces together, it can only be surmised that the iPhone 13 is set to offer a 120Hz LTPO display on its Pro variants. Users might even have the chance now to say goodbye to short battery life because it will be significantly improved with a more efficient 5G modem.
We’re also looking at substantial upgrades to iPhone’s cameras, including a LiDAR sensor on the cheaper iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini variants, and a new portrait video mode.
Tentative release date
What’s making all the fanatics anxious is the fact that the new gizmo will not be available until the fall of this year. But we can end sleepless nights of thinking about it by making an educated guess by using Apple’s pattern for previous launches.
Through this, we can make a reasonable assumption that the device will hit the market on September 24, 2021. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the iPhone 13 should have a normal release schedule this year unlike the iPhone 12 that faced delays of its release due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
