The iPhone 13 could come with no ports, no notch by 2021. Leaks say that Apple’s flagship phone next to iPhone 12 could restore the Touch ID.
With a few months away from the iPhone 12 release, leaks now began to surface online. Hints from known leakers reveal some special features on the iPhone 13.
iPhone 13 to go portless and notchless
A known leaker by the Twitter handler @jon_prosser posted an update giving iPhone users a clue that iPhone 13 could go portless. In his post last week, Prosser hinted about a portless iPhone coming in 2021.
The Twitter update caught the attention of more than a hundred followers and continues to gain comments and reactions from Apple customers. Prosser added it will never be USB-C, instead of iPhones next year will all be portless.
☝️ yep.
One portless iPhone coming next year.
Never USB-C. Eventually, they’ll all be portless.

If the leak proves to be true, then the iPhone 13 will also rely on the Qi induction. The majority of smartphones released today rely on Qi, a wireless charging framework.
Comments from iPhone users suggest that iPhone 13 should have a faster wireless charging system. This is to ensure that the tech giant copes up with the tight wireless charging competition going on with the market.
Given the portless feature, users could also expect the iPhone 13 to be larger and thicker. This is because of the increasing sizes of wirelessly charged batteries in order to accommodate features such as 5G that consume high energy amount.
Another feature to expect with the iPhone 13 is the ditching of the notch. Apple reportedly planned to completely eliminate the notch with iPhone 12.
Previous reports say that the tech giant supposedly tried to experiment and release all the upcoming 2020 iPhones with no notch. However, for some reason, the notchless design will be pushed back to 2021.
Back in 2019, leaker Ben Geskin gave a glimpse of how Apple plans to do the notchless and portless iPhones supposed to be by 2020. The leak revealed that the TrueDepth system and earpiece will be embedded inside the top bezel of the upcoming handset.
iPhone 13 to feature Touch ID and Face ID
A statement released by Ming-Chi Kuo back in 2019 states that Apple is also planning to add an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The analyst revealed that the Cupertino giant targets to launch the Touch ID with its 2021 iPhone release.
Reports added that if the Touch ID would be back for iPhone 13 as it launches by 2021, then Apple is in for a challenge. Sources say that the tech giant should work on iOS to accommodate both the Touch ID and the Face ID that accommodates users on a facemask.
