Apple has officially confirmed the highly awaited iPhone 13 event schedule, set to take place virtually next week on September 14.
However, all the fanboys will be curious to know the big deal about this year’s event, compared to 2020’s announcement. How will the iPhone 13 line-up actually stand out?
iPhone 13 vs. iPhone 12: Major differences revealed
Now that everyone knows about the date let’s dive deeper into what it may offer, eventually.
When it comes to iPhone 13, then, as usual, it’s yet another awaited smartphone series from Apple.
Compared to the iPhone 12 models, it might reveal many exclusive features that will be making their debut next week. However, nothing is official now, and you can only trust the rumors and some near-accurate leaks.
Going according to the reports so far, the upcoming lineup is expected to feature a larger battery. Along with that, it may also have a physical lens upgrade–a big one–on the back.
The iPhone 12 series did witness a major update on the camera side. But it only arrived in the Pro Max last year. That phone boasted a sensor shift for ultra steadiness while shooting fast-paced scenes.
But the battery capacity was slightly reduced in the high-end model of 2020. So the next week’s Apple event might surprise everyone if the new Pro version comes with a massive battery alongside a totally revamped camera system.
Furthermore, while the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro have a camera bump of 1.5mm to 1.7mm, the new phones might arrive with a higher value. As per the rumors, the regular 13 will have a camera bump of 2.51mm, while the Pro will have a bump of 3.56mm.
Not to mention, the upcoming series will also include a total of four models.
There will be the Mini and the not-so-pro version. The two Pro(s) are also there, with the bigger counterpart being way too huge in terms of display.
What’s the USP of the next line-up?
When it comes to the refresh rate, then this is where the iPhone 13 might beat the existing series. The iPhone 12 models, despite having a high-quality display, still pose a regular 60Hz refresh rate.
On the other hand, the Apple event may reveal a newer way of using the screen, at least in the Pro versions. Speculations are hinting towards a Pro-Motion display for the 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. Plus, it may also have an always-on feature!
The said feature was rumored last year. However, now it seems like the 13 line-ups will ultimately have it. Many mid-range and flagship Android phones already have a faster refresh rate on their screens.
In addition to this, the shining highlight in iPhone 13 will be a new technology called LEO (low earth orbit).
As per the reports, it will help the users in making calls directly through the satellite.
In areas where there is hardly any cellular network, it will be a revolutionary feature. Unfortunately, it may only arrive for certain regions at the launch of the iPhone 13 models.
