New reports have revealed that the upcoming iPhone models in 2022 and 2023 will have improved camera lens performance.
In a note to investors, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that iPhone versions in the future would have new unibody rear lenses. Plus, there might be an addition of a periscope lens also.
There will be a lot of new benefits of introducing a change in the camera hardware.
Next iPhone models and a new lens system
When it comes to Ming-Chi Kuo’s report, the unibody design in next year’s iPhone will benefit because it will integrate the camera’s voice coil motor with its lens array.
The current line-up of Apple‘s smartphone series uses the same components as individual and separate parts.
However, adopting a unibody lens will save a lot of internal space inside the phone.
Moreover, the report also mentions the arrival of the 7P telephoto lens in the next two years. It will directly result in better portrait photography.
It made an entry in last year’s iPhone 12, mounted on the wide-angle camera module. With a 7P stack, all three cameras will get an upgrade, possibly by 2023.
Speaking of 2023, then there will be multiple new additions. A Periscope lens will also make its way to Apple’s smartphones.
Periscope lenses are folding lenses made up of prisms and mirrors. They increase the focal length of a compact lens array.
The technology enables the front element to direct light through a prism towards an imaging point.
Previous reports claimed that the Periscope lens would arrive by 2022.
Upcoming Apple products
Meanwhile, the California tech giant is currently working on its schedule for this year. Just like 2020’s record performance, it will target huge goals to accomplish in 2021 as well.
Speaking of upcoming products, then later this month, the first Apple event of the year is likely to happen. And going by previous rumors and robust predictions, it may reveal AirTags and AirPods Studio.
Furthermore, there will be the WWDC event in June. Currently, it’s said to be virtual, just like other past events by the company so far. The conference will witness the announcement of a new software version, iOS 15.
Compared to iOS 14, it’s expected to be even tighter in privacy options. Plus, other UI improvements are also rumored to make their debut. Users have been waiting for many new modifications for the last few years when creating the interface changes.
Talking of the new iPhone 13 series, then it’s surrounded by huge buzz. While some tech enthusiasts are claiming it to be notch-less, others are pointing towards a faster refresh rate on display.
