Series overview
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia revolves around “The Gang,” which is a group of five fictional misfit friends. This includes twins Dennis and Deandra, Reynolds, Charlie, Ronald “Mac” McDonald, as well as Frank Reynolds. Altogether, they run Paddy’s Pub, an unsuccessful Irish bar in South Philadelphia.
The show’s episodes often feature the group hatching elaborate schemes, and often conspiring against each other. The reason may be either for personal gain, vengeance, or simply the entertainment of watching another’s downfall. The Gang’s unity is never solid. However, in the end, they return to their usual dynamic group because of their toxic codependency.

Season 15 to include coronavirus episode
The 14th season, which ran from September to November 2019, featured the gang dealing with different issues. This includes Airbnb house guests, a screening of Thunder Gun 4: Maximum Cool, and a suicidal man threatening to jump off Paddy’s Pub. However, season 15 is guaranteed to tackle new and relevant plot.
Rob McElhenney further unveiled his plans to incorporate a coronavirus episode to the forthcoming season. He stated,
“When we come back, don’t worry, we will address all this in the way only Sunny can.”
Moreover, the showrunner recalled a quarantine episode all the way back in Season 7. It was entitled The Gang Gets Quarantined. However, McElhenney warrants a new kind of quarantine storyline given the current circumstances.
Who will be back
Fans can expect to witness the return of Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson, Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, and Danny DeVito. The group is all set to reprise their roles for another season of debauchery.
