Jared Leto is back in the limelight as Joker in Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max!
The versatile actor previously took a different version of the Clown Prince of Crime from what fans were used to before.
However, The Suicide Squad scenes of David Ayer were mostly cut out of the final picture. Now, Jared Leto will once again play the opposite of Ben Affleck’s Batman.
The Hollywood Reporter shared that Leto will play Joker for Zack Snyder’s Justice League reshoots.
Possibly, it has something to do with Ayer’s take on Suicide Squad in which Zack and Deborah Snyder produced. And to try patch up events in Justice League before both movies were affected by studio interference.

Zack Snyder’s ongoing reshoots
A report says that the reshoots are currently taking place; actors Ben Affleck, Amber Heard, and Ray Fisher are working on the set.
There is no announcement about how many months or days it will take the additional filming as of writing.
However, the production team is doing extensive work before 2021, the movie’s release target.
The Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is the reference to Leto’s portrayal as Joker. His character includes Robin’s desecrated costume. A taunt from Batman’s nemesis is also spraypainted on it.
Having that seen, it goes to show that Joker seems to have murdered the Boy Wonder already. Also, the costume serves as Bruce Wayne’s tribute and reminder in the Bat Cave.
The debut portrayal of Leto as the Joker in Suicide Squad is in the opening montage. It revealed how Joker leaves Harley Quinn to die after being chased by Batman. This scene ultimately leads to Margot Robbie’s Harley joining Task Force X.
David Ayer to Suicide Squad
Mirroring Snyder’s issues with the theatrical cut of Justice League, Suicide Squad director David Ayer has made it clear the version released in theaters is not his take of the movie.
Ayer made a lengthy talk in recent weeks about how much different his edit is from the one that’s seen the light of day.
Meanwhile, the Justice League release on HBO Max is not confirmed yet by Zack Snyder. However, the project is supposed to hit the streamer sometime in 2021.
With the current return of Leto and Ayer’s comments, fans wonder if Suicide Squad will be re-released with Ayer’s vision for the movie.
