FaZe Clan ventured into the Valorant pro scene recently. However, its team captain JasonR announced his departure to create his own competitive roster.
The organization tapped Jason “JasonR” Ruchelski’s services to lead its upcoming Valorant team. As a former CS: GO player, JasonR has a lot of experience in competitive FPS.
However, the partnership only lasted for a month. Despite being included in the Valorant Ignition Series, he left the team.
Ruchelski joined FaZe Clan back on June 25. He signed alongside fellow Overwatch star, Corey “corey” Nigra. The two were part of FaZe Clan’s first-ever competitive Valorant roster.
The FaZe Clan-organized Valorant tournament would have been the first time to see him in action.
FaZe Clan and @JasonRuchelski have decided to part ways – he’s looking to build a Valorant roster & seek opportunities elsewhere.
We had a great working experience with Jason, and hope our paths cross again in the future! #FaZeUp

JasonR explains why he left
Lack of communication is the main reason for Ruchelski’s departure. According to him, he has no say on who to team up with despite being the team captain.
“Marved just got announced on the FaZe Clan roster, but I’m not playing for FaZe. I’m not practicing with that roster,” JasonR said in July.
“I had no say in who they were picking up at all. I had no choice in the roster, and I’m not going to be forced to play with anyone I don’t want to,” he added.

FaZe Clan Valorant team left with three members
The FaZe Clan Valorant Invitational will take start on August 6. However, the organization is facing a problem with its roster.
There are only three players left at the moment. It consists of corey, Zachary “ZachaREEE” Lombardo, and Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen.
FaZe Clan has not announced the replacement for JasonR yet. Stand-ins may join the roster during the duration of the tournament.
