Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt reuniting again after sweet SAG reunion

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston will be reuniting again this time virtually for the Fast Times at Ridgemont High table read.

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have divorced over a decade ago. However, their fans are still eager to see them together. The exes will be joining forces on Friday for a virtual table read.

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston reuniting

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston will be joining other popular celebrities for the all-star virtual table read of Sean Penn’s classic 1982 movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Pitt and Aniston will be joined by Shia LaBeouf, Matthew McConaughey, Julia Roberts, Jimmy Kimmel, Dane Cook, Morgan Freeman, and Henry Golding. More celebrity names will be announced as the event approaches.

The live virtual event will take place on Friday and will be live-streamed on Facebook Live and TikTok. The proceeds of the event will benefit emergency relief nonprofit CORE in its fight against COVID-19 and criminal justice reform group Reform Alliance, Variety reported.

What Penn and others say about the event

Sean Penn will not be playing his iconic stoner character Jeff Spicoli. His character will be announced on the night of the event. However, he teased that he was confident with the actor playing his original character.

“On behalf of our dedicated team at CORE, I’m so appreciative of the support Dane has given and continues to give to our work,” Penn said in a statement per Variety.

“I’m always game for a giggle. So, to gather remotely for a night of laughs with so many talented folks while providing CORE with much-needed resources to continue our vital work, then consider us fully onboard to play!”

Director Amy Heckerling and screenwriter Cameron Crowe are also part of the event to introduce the reading.

“Sean brought magic to us on day one, and he is still bringing that magic to the world. We are so excited to be a part of this 2020 take on ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High,'” Crowe said.

“Thank you to this cast, and to Sean, for always honoring the best things in life, love and creativity. It is, as a great man once said, totally awesome.”

Meanwhile, Heckerling was honored for the talented and wonderful people who agreed to get together to celebrate the movie. She added that she was a huge fan of Penn, and fully support CORE and all of his causes.

Pitt and Aniston’s last reunion

Before the virtual table read, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston had a sweet reunion at the SAG Awards. Several photographs showed Pitt holding Aniston’s wrist. Another shot showed Aniston placing a hand on Pitt’s chest.

According to an insider, Angelina Jolie felt disrespected with the exes’ public reunion. Pitt dated and eventually married Jolie shortly after his split from Aniston. But they also split in 2016.
