Jennifer rose to stardom when she played the role of Rachel Green on Friends for a decade. But, did you know there were some other roles that she should have been part of, like NCIS and Saturday Night Live?
NCIS has produced several iconic roles throughout its 17-year run. However, it could have made another legendary character if Jennifer Aniston became a part of it.
Aniston’s supposed role on “NCIS”
Aniston was an original option to play as Agent Caitlin “Kate” Todd on NCIS. At the time, rumors had it that she’s very interested in joining the series, despite being mum about it.
If she ever did this, it would be quite different from the role fans used to see of her.
Kate was a key member of the NCIS team back in the day. She first appeared on the show in 2003 and last seen in 2005.
However, instead of the 51-year-old actress, the role went to Sasha Alexander.
According to Express, Aniston wasn’t able to do NCIS due to her commitment to Friends. Although the sitcom was about to end then, she had yet to finish filming its final season.
If CBS badly wanted Brad Pitt’s ex to be part of the show, it had to cancel its production for a year to wait for her. However, the network couldn’t afford to do that.
So, Aniston missed out on being part of NCIS, although she went on to have a very successful career.

Aniston could have been part of “Saturday Night Live,” too!
Aside from NCIS, Aniston could have also been part of Saturday Night Live, but she had to refuse the gig for Friends.
With her comical antics, it is no surprise that Aniston can have a part on SNL. However, her constant movie collaborator Adam Sandler revealed she “turned down a spot” to be part of it, per Insider.
“I remember being on the ninth floor where Lorne Michaels’ office was, and seeing Jen come in,” Sandler said on Oprah. “I was like, ‘Oh, my God. There’s Aniston. Is she about to be on our show?'”
Sadly, Aniston couldn’t make it and SNL “wasn’t happy with her decision.”
“They thought I was making a huge mistake,” she said.
Indeed, Aniston refused several roles to do Friends. However, it couldn’t be denied that her time on the hit sitcom made Jennifer Aniston the big star that she is today.
