Intermittent fasting is now the latest trend in the health and fitness world. This method is currently popular among many celebrities, and one of them is Jennifer Aniston.
Jennifer Aniston recently reveals that she is following the 16/8 intermittent fasting method. In an interview with Radio Times, along with her The Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon, last year, she dished about her weight loss secret.
What does Jennifer eat in following IF?
Brad Pitt’s former wife revealed that in following intermittent fasting, she is not eating anything in the morning.
“I noticed a big difference in going without solid food for 16 hours,” the 51-year-old star said, via Us Weekly.
So, how does she start her mornings? Being a night owl, Jennifer Aniston usually wakes up at 8:30 or 9 a.m. She starts the day by juicing and brewing coffee.
She takes celery juice and drinks coffee later. However, she doesn’t drink coffee that early, Insider added. She will feed her dogs first, meditate, and workout before she finally gives attention to her brewed drink.

What should people consume while in IF?
According to Healthline, while following intermittent fasting, some advocates say that people shall only consume water, tea, or coffee without milk or sweetener during their fasting hours.
Jennifer Aniston and even Reese Witherspoon revealed that they were sticking to a liquid diet in the mornings, drinking only juice and coffee while fasting. So, how does 16/8 intermittent fasting work?
In 16/8 intermittent fasting, the follower will not eat for 16 hours every day. After the said period, they will be allowed to eat in the remaining eight-hour window.
The follower can start eating at noon until 8 p.m. There are no restrictions on the type of food or amount that they can eat, so they don’t need to count calories like other diet methods.
However, it doesn’t mean that they can eat everything they want. They still have to follow a balanced diet, eating only healthy foods, like lean meat, eggs, dairy, and vegetables.
Tanya Freirich, a New York-based nutritionist, told Health.com that 16/8 intermittent fasting followers should start fasting early in the day, not later than 10 a.m. They also should finish early in the evening before their metabolism slows down to make it more effective.
“This allows for the energy you consume during your eating window to serve your activities throughout the day,” she said. “Plus, it’s in line with our natural circadian rhythms, presuming you wake up around 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.”
