Jennifer Aniston gets the support of Justin Theroux for this

Jennifer Aniston receives a shower of support after she announced her Emmy nomination, including from her ex, Justin Theroux.

Jennifer Aniston received an Emmy nomination for her role as Alex in the AppleTV+ drama series, The Morning Show. If she wins, she will bag the Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series award.

Theroux showed support to ex-wife

According to Hello! Magazine, the nomination is the 51-year-old star’s seventh recognition from Emmy and her first after 11 years. She shared the good news on Instagram, where she received a lot of support, including that of her ex-husband.

“What a morning waking up to this news!” she captioned a series of photos of the show’s cast and crew. “I am so proud of my @themorningshow family.”

Brad Pitt’s former wife excitedly said that her team worked very hard to create the best show that they possibly could.

“I am truly honored to be a part of it,” she added. “Thanks for this acknowledgment and congratulations to EVERYONE.”

Now, it seems like her only problem is to find the perfect mask that will fit the occasion.

“I’m just gonna have to figure out what MASK I’M GONNA WEAR,” she ended her post.

One of the top comments that fans will saw on her post is from Theroux. “Woot woot,” he simply said. His comment alone has more than 1,300 likes.

Other friends who congratulated Aniston were Sarah Hyland, Mariah Carey, Orlando Bloom, Rita Wilson, and Julianne Moore.

Aniston’s past nominations

Deadline noted that Aniston had been nominated in the comedy category six times before – five times for Friends and once for 30 Rock as a guest star.

At the recent 2020 SAG Awards, she won the Female Actor in a Drama Series category also for The Morning Show.

The television drama tells a story of broadcast morning show whose hosts have different problems. Mitch (Steve Carell) has been ousted from the network for his sexual harassment issue.

His co-anchor and best friend, Alex (Aniston), is trying to hold her aging career amid the threat of a younger co-anchor, Bradley (Reese Witherspoon). She is also trying to argue the case of Mitch with the internal network execs and the show’s producer.

Despite the critics’ poor review of the show, it proves itself with several award nominations and wins. This year, it has eight Emmy nominations. It also got three nominations from Golden Globe Awards last year.

Now, it remains to be seen if Jennifer Aniston will once again go home with an award for The Morning Show.
