Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have separated for over a decade already, but their love and respect for each other remain.
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were among the A-list couples in Hollywood. But their marriage was short-lived. They got married in 2000 and divorced five years later. But after 15 years since their split, she will get back with Brad Pitt.
While their reunion is unlikely to happen, Showbiz CheatSheet compiled Aniston’s previous statements about her ex-husband.
Jennifer Aniston really loves Brad Pitt
In an interview with Vanity Fair after their split, Jennifer Aniston said she felt lucky that Brad Pitt came into her life. She also said she would always love her ex-husband.
“I still feel so lucky to have experienced it. I wouldn’t know what I know now if I hadn’t been married to Brad,” Aniston said.
She went on and expressed her love for Pitt.
“I love Brad; I really love him,” she said before adding, “I will love him for the rest of my life.”
Aniston has no regrets
In the same interview, Jennifer Aniston said she had no regrets when it came to marrying Brad Pitt. However, she had learned her lesson. She said she would have done some things differently.
The Murder Mystery star said she would take more vacations and get away from work. In that way, they could enjoy each other in different environments. She looked back at their marriage and recounted that there was something preventing it. It was either Pitt or she was working.
Exes helped each other
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have remained good friends even after their marriage was over. Speaking about their romance, The Morning Show star said they spent “seven very intense years together.”
Aniston also shared that they have learned a lot of things from each other, especially about healing and fun. She added that she values what they have in their “complicated relationship.”
“We helped each other through a lot, and I really value that. It was a beautiful, complicated relationship,” Aniston said.
They had a successful marriage
Jennifer Aniston went on and married Justin Theroux years after her split from Brad Pitt. Meanwhile, Pitt went through his second marriage with Angelina Jolie.
Both of their second marriage didn’t work and ended in divorce. But when it comes to her marriage, Aniston still considered it successful.
“My marriages, they’ve been very successful, in [my] personal opinion,” Aniston said.
Aniston said they broke up because they chose to be happy. She added that sometimes happiness no longer exists in that arrangement anymore, and she would not stay in the same situation out of fear.
