Jennifer Aniston posed nude years ago for Mark Seliger’s photography. Those pictures, along with the other 24 celebrity portraits of Seliger, were put in an auction for the coronavirus pandemic relief fund.
Jennifer Aniston iconic posed discussed
Jennifer Aniston and Mark Seliger both agreed for her iconic posed together. They even rehearsed the shot.
“That pose was something I’d worked out in a pre-light, and I thought it would keep it very organic and classic feeling. I wanted to have a sense of formality to it, and the pose just seemed to work out really well,” Seliger told InStyle.
He also praised how hairstylist Chris McMillan’s brilliantly styled Aniston’s hair to now-renowned Rachel cut. He found it “just right” for the photo shoot.
“We shot a lot of different pictures, but that one really seemed to be the great takeaway,” Seliger added. “It was a breakout time for her, and [the photo] really showed her as this very open, strong person. I think it kind of captured who she was.”
How Seliger captured Aniston’s iconic shot
Mark Seliger considered Jennifer Aniston, one of his “favorite all-time subjects to talk about.” According to him, his working relationship with Brad Pitt’s ex made it smooth and comfortable for the latter to bare it all in an artistic way.
“It’s so much about trust and connection, and that’s kind of who she is. If she doesn’t like something, she’s going to tell you; if she loves something, she’s going to sing your praises,” Seliger said.
“We just have a good batting average. It’s a process of making interesting imagery and she’s particular, but very open to sharing her ideas. She’s always been like that. I’ve given her a lot of crazy ideas, and she’s always been open to trying, even though some of them don’t work out. She’s always there and very willing to go along with it.”
Jennifer cute not beautiful
Meanwhile, Joan Collins once spoke about the beauties of the industry. For her, the public was starved of “gorgeous people.” She then went on and dropped Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston’s name.
“I have to say, there aren’t that many good looking actresses around today. I mean, there’s Angelina Jolie and there’s… Angelina Jolie,” Collins said.
“Jennifer Aniston is cute, but I wouldn’t call her beautiful. She’s no Ava [Gardner] or Lana [Turner].”
