Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon aren’t, allegedly, on the best of terms.
According to Star, Jennifer Aniston even rolled her eyes at Witherspoon at one point. And there has also been some whispering on the set of The Morning Show.
“They used to hang out when the cameras weren’t rolling, but not now,” the source said.
Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon not on good terms
The insider also said that the show’s cast and crew were also disappointed when the program only earned one Emmy. After all, they thought that Aniston was a shoo-in.
This hasn’t, allegedly, helped the atmosphere on the set of the AppleTV+ series.
Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon keeping their feud low-key
Meanwhile, the tabloid claimed that Aniston and Witherspoon are keeping their feud a secret. And this is why the Friends star greeted Witherspoon on her birthday last March.
“They’re both very old-school Hollywood in the way they approach their lives, both professionally and personally, so neither of them would admit any tension. And they’re good at making nice on set and off,” the source said.
This isn’t the first time that Aniston and Witherspoon were rumored to be at odds with each other.
The A-listers feuded over Julianna Marguiles’ casting
Last year, Star also claimed that Aniston and Witherspoon weren’t on the same page when it came to Julianna Marguiles’ casting in The Morning Show.
A source claimed that Witherspoon was the one that insisted on hiring Marguiles even though she knew that Aniston didn’t want the actress on board.
“It’s chaos. Jen doesn’t understand why Reese insisted on bringing Julianna on board. Julianna and Reese are whispering behind everybody’s backs and barking orders like they own the place. They’re not even inviting Jen to lunch,” the source said.
In August, OK! magazine also claimed that Witherspoon was jealous of Aniston’s Emmy nomination. However, this wasn’t the case either.
Rumors debunked
Regardless of what the tabloids claim, it is important to note that Aniston and Witherspoon are on good terms.
In fact, the A-listers have known each other for many years. Witherspoon was previously cast in Friends, where she played the role of Rachel Green’s (Jennifer Aniston) sister.
