Jennifer Aniston said she received a lot of texts when the rumors about her dating her Friends co-star David Schwimmer made headlines.
Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer recently reunited at the Friends: The Reunion which aired on HBO Max in May. During their reunion, they both admitted that they had feelings for each other. Shortly after the reunion and their admission, the dating rumors made headlines.

Jennifer Aniston, 52, and David Schwimmer, 54, have remained good friends after their hit NBC sitcom. When they met for the Friends reunion both admitted that they have mutual feelings for each other. Shortly after the admission, the rumors about them dating made headlines.
“That’s really funny,” Aniston told Marie Claire Australia.
Aniston said she hasn’t heard a word about the rumors. However, she received a lot of texts from the people about them. Initially, she didn’t understand when people asked her they thought they were on a break. When she got that it was about the dating rumors, she said it was the “funniest rumor” she ever heard.
Jennifer and David shut down dating rumors
Both David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston already addressed the dating rumors. According to them, the reports alleging they were going out were not true.
It was not the first time Aniston addressed the dating rumors. In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight when Aniston and Reese Witherspoon were promoting the second season of Morning Show, she spoke about the same issue.
“That was bizarre. I could not believe that, actually. Like, really? That’s my brother,” Aniston said.
“But I understand it, though. It just shows you how hopeful people are for fantasies, for dreams to come true.”

The two actors both appeared on the hit sitcom Friends. Aniston played Rachel Green while Schwimmer portrayed the character of Ross Geller.
Rachel is Ross’ most significant relationship in the series. He met her through her sister Monica (Courteney Cox).
The sitcom premiered on Sept. 22, 1994, on NBC and aired its last episode on May 6, 2004. It ran for 10 years and the six major cast have maintained their friendship even after the series wrapped up.
During the reunion, Schwimmer had a major crush on Aniston in the first season. Aniston said his feelings were “reciprocated.” However, they never dated because one of them was always in a relationship.
Both said they channeled their feelings for each other through their character on the show.
