Jennifer Aniston shared the different misconceptions that she read about herself in various tabloids and set the record straight.
Jennifer Aniston is one of the most popular celebrities in her generation. She is also one of the most beautiful faces in Hollywood. However, there are several misconceptions about her, especially after she endured two failed marriages.
Jennifer Aniston speaks about the misconceptions about her
The Morning Show star has been under the spotlight for decades. Thus, many thought that they know her well enough.
However, Jennifer Aniston said there were a lot of wrong reports about her. For instance, many thought that she was heartbroken. Also, there were claims suggesting that she didn’t want to have kids.
“The misconceptions are ‘Jen can’t keep a man,’ and ‘Jen refuses to have a baby because she’s selfish and committed to her career.’ Or that I’m sad and heartbroken,” Aniston shared via Entertainment Tonight.
“First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors. No one considers how sensitive that might be for my partner and me. They don’t know what I’ve been through medically or emotionally.”
Aniston also recognized the pressure put on women to be mothers. Women who couldn’t conceive are deemed “damaged goods.”
The Murder Mystery star, who remains childless after two marriages and divorces, reiterated that maybe her purpose is not to “procreate.”
Aniston admits the prospect of having children frightens her
In another interview, Jennifer Aniston spoke the same thing – that society expects women to get married at a certain age and have children.
She deemed it a “fairy tale” and admitted that it’s how the world is molding women. However, it’s not the route for everyone.
Brad Pitt’s ex-wife then talked about the prospect of having kids on her own. Aniston confessed that having kids was “quite honestly, kind of frightening.”
“I don’t know how naturally that comes to me,” she added.
Aniston wants to have a baby with Pitt
There were rumors that Brad Pitt dumped Jennifer Aniston because she didn’t want to have kids. The Friends alum denied those claims.
Contrary to reports, Aniston considered building a family with the Ad Astra actor. Months before they split, her popular sitcom Friends was ending, and at the time, she wanted to slow down and get pregnant.
“It’s time. It’s time. You know, I think you can work with a baby, I think you can work pregnant, I think you can do all of it. So I’m just truly looking forward to slowing down,” Aniston said.
Unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Brad Pitt started filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie at about the same time. When they met, the actor reportedly changed almost immediately and became emotionally unavailable to Aniston.
