Jennifer Lawrence feuding with mom, banned parents from wedding: Rumor

Jennifer Lawrence was allegedly feuding with her mom and decided to ban her parents from attending her wedding.

Jennifer Lawrence tied the knot with Cooke Maroney on Oct.19, 2019. One tabloid claimed that the Hunger Games star was not on good terms with her mom, Karen Lawrence. So, she decided not to invite them to her big day. However, one should take the report with a grain of salt because there is no piece of evidence to support it.

Jennifer Lawrence banned parents from her wedding

NW Magazine published a report claiming that Lawrence furiously banned her parents from her wedding. A supposed source alleged that her mother, Karen, “made a comment about Cooke that Jen didn’t like.”

On the contrary, Karen has been showing love to her daughter, so it’s unlikely for her to do something that will hurt Jennifer Lawrence. Karen even said that she was a proud mom to Jennifer from the day she took home an Academy Award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.

Karen’s interview happened just a month before Jennifer’s big day. Thus, the claims that her parents were not invited were false.

Jennifer bonded with her mom before her wedding

Jennifer Lawrence and Karen took some time to bond ahead of the former’s wedding to Cooke Maroney. The Joy star flew to France to attend Paris Fashion Week along with her mom, People reported.

The two were photographed attending the Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2020 show. The mother and daughter looked happy together.

“She’s getting really excited about the wedding,” one source said.

Karen loves her children

In March, Karen spoke about her family in an interview with Us Weekly. According to her, she can’t wait to have more grandchildren.

“I don’t think that a grandmother could have too many!” she added.

During the interview, Karen was promoting her feature in Operation Parent’s educational video focusing on childhood anxiety. Just like other parents, she admitted that she wasn’t a perfect mom. However, it didn’t mean that she wasn’t a good one either.

“It really wasn’t even spoken about so much when I was raising my own children,” Karen admitted.

“I wish that I had been more sympathetic instead of sometimes [saying], ‘Suck it up. You’re not not gonna go to school today just because you have a stomachache.’ Those things were real. Those stomachaches were real. … It was school anxiety, it was childhood anxiety, and I feel like I made a lot of mistakes in not acknowledging that.”

Karen pushed her three children to “find something they love” and pursue it. That’s why when a talent scout spotted Jennifer, she supported the latter until she became one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood.
