The coronavirus pandemic outbreak has put a halt to the wedding plans of power couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez.
But once this is all gone, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez will go “full force” with their weddings.
The 51-year-old singer-actress and her former baseball player beau were hoping to tie the knot early this year, but the coronavirus pandemic stopped them from it.
While some couples would instead go for an intimate wedding ceremony, JLo and A-Rod are hoping for a big wedding and that “they are so looking forward to getting married.”
In 2019, Alex Rodriguez said that they’re still enjoying their engagement but are hoping for a 2020 wedding.
The couple has hectic schedules. JLo was preparing for her Super Bowl halftime performance, her movie Hustlers’ release, being on Saturday Night Live, and the anniversary tour of It’s My Party.
At that time, it seemed like locking down a date in 2019 was extremely tough.
Jennifer Lopez told Entertainment Tonight at that time, “There’s no rush. We see this as something that’s going to be forever. And we’re just going to take our time and do it right. And not do it rushed.”
After the former MLB player asked the “Get It Right” hitmaker to marry him in March 2019 while on holiday in the Bahamas, JLo said yes.
At that time, they have only been dating for two years.
The couple shared their engagement on Instagram with A-Rod captioning the post, “She said yes,” showing off the engagement ring.
According to JLo, it happened after their walk on the beach at dusk and an intimate meal for her and his beau.
A-Rod told Jimmy Fallon that A-Rod even practiced getting down on one knee with his assistant three times to get the proposal right.
“I planned it for about six months,” he explained during an appearance on The Tonight Show.
“I rehearsed three days in a row because I wanted the sunset to be perfect. It worked out well.”
The engagement ring
According to reports, Jennifer Lopez’s engagement ring is an emerald-cut stone estimated between 10 and 15 carats.
Its value is estimated at $5 million.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez planned for their wedding before the pandemic. But A-Rod dropped a hint about the location.
Speaking to GMA 3: Strahan, Sara, and Keke, the 45-year-old athlete said, “It’s gonna be a long flight.”
