Jennifer Lopez is allegedly planning to run for president, but one should take the report with a grain of salt.
Jennifer Lopez is one of the most popular and powerful performers in Hollywood. She is a good singer, dancer, and actress. One tabloid claimed that she wanted to join the politics, and Gossip Cop looked into it.
Jennifer Lopez aiming for the Oval Office rumor
National Enquirer published a report claiming that Jennifer Lopez has developed a taste for politics after her performance at President Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony.
“Jennifer is one of the most powerful stars in the world, yet nothing she’s experienced compared to the power she felt being in Washington D.C,” a source told the outlet.
Lopez is allegedly planning to spend more time in D.C. The anonymous insider added that the people could expect her to be more involved in political issues.
Rumor debunked
Gossip Cop examined the report and was skeptical about it. First, Lopez hasn’t spoken about running for president or any office.
While there is no doubt that she had a moving performance at the inauguration, she also knew that at the time, she was doing what she does best — singing. After her performance, she even explained the political message behind the show but never hinted about going deep into politics.
“All I want my girls, the little girls on stage with me and all over the world, to know is how to use their voices and be proud of everything they are. Other people can try to build walls, keep us out, or put us in cages. We are proud to recognize that all of us together is what makes this beautiful country truly great,” she wrote on Instagram.
Also, Lopez has a lot on her plate. She is already very busy that the presidency is unlikely to be appealing to her at present.
The rumor-debunking site pointed out her upcoming movie Shotgun Wedding opposite Josh Duhamel and Netflix’s The Mother. Lopez is also preparing for her wedding day.
Jennifer’s upcoming wedding update and rumors
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez decided to move their overseas wedding last year due to the pandemic. Both haven’t given a concrete update about their big day.
There are rumors that the couple is planning for a Hawaiian wedding. They originally planned to wed in Italy but are now eyeing to tie the knot in Hawaii.
The Jenny from the Block singer is allegedly sparing no expense and is willing to spend $10 million for her big day if needed, a source told OK! The outlet claimed that the ceremony will be held on a bluff overlooking the ocean, and she will wear diamonds and a white dress even if it will be her fourth marriage, the anonymous tipster added.
However, one should take the report with a grain of salt because the couple has not confirmed it.
