Jessica Alba, who is well-renowned for her role on Dark Angel, disclosed a dark secret about Beverly Hills 90210 and its cast.
Jessica Alba recently recalled how she felt unwelcome when she appeared in two 1998 episodes of Beverly Hills 90210.
On Tuesday, Alba appeared in front of Hot Ones’ camera, where she spoke candidly about her role in Beverly Hills 90210.
In the two 1998 episodes of the series, she played the role of pregnant teenager Leanne.
Now, the 39-year-old actress disclosed how she was restricted to look at the main cast members in the eye during her stay on the set.
“On the set of ‘90210’ I couldn’t even make eye contact with any of the cast members, which was really strange when you’re trying to do this scene with them,” Alba told host Sean Evans.
“It was like, ‘You’re not allowed to make eye contact with any one of the cast members or you’ll be thrown off the set,'” she recalled.
The original cast included Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering, and Tiffani Thiessen, among others.
“Beverly Hills 90210” home of notorious stars?
Alba is not the only actress to brave all odds and speak out about the cast’s behavior on the Beverly Hills 90210 set.
In 2012, Thiessen told Howard Stern Jennie Garth and Spelling did not offer her a kind approach.
Soon after the original show closed its curtains in 2000, The CW Network welcomed its reboot shows, which lasted for five seasons.
One of the stars who joined the reboot, AnnaLynne McCord, also divulged to US Weekly in November 2019 that the original stars were indeed not welcoming to her either.
“They were being a little shady toward me! And then I was a little shady back!” she exclaimed in the said interview. “They don’t acknowledge your 90210 as the real 90210.”
Jessica Alba bullied?
While this seemed to be the only time she ever felt that way, the experience happened again.
After Alba played Jessica’s role in The Secret Live of Alex Mack, she opened up how she got bullied as a kid.
So when she landed the role of a villain, it felt like a wish-fulfillment especially because she played someone who was bullying her.
Meanwhile, despite all the hardships she went through, Alba has been blessed these past few years.
In 2019, she appeared on the big screen through the thriller film Killers Anonymous with Gary Oldman and Suki Waterhouse.
Currently, she appears in LA’s Finest with Gabrielle Union, who reprises her role from 2003’s Bad Boys II series.
