Jim Carrey and Renée Zellweger dated for about a year.
Jim Carrey is one of Hollywood’s most successful actors. With his iconic and comedic films, it is not shocking why almost everyone knows who he is.
But, despite the successes, the Bruce Almighty actor has had his fair share of struggles and challenges. He has repeatedly opened up about his depressions, alongside the other trials he faced over the years. More recently, he touched further on personal things in his new book.
Jim Carrey recently dropped his new book, ‘Memoirs and Misinformation’
Earlier in July, Jim Carrey and co-author Dana Vachon dropped their “passion project,” Memoirs and Misinformation. Reports said that the comedy legend “deconstructed” himself, “the Jim Carrey,” in the material.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the Dumb and Dumber star said in his “first-ever Zoom call” that describing what the book is all about is “difficult.” He explained, though, that the material is about an “apocalypse,” yet, it is also, reportedly, about the “apocalypse of the interior,” or ego.

Later on the call, the publication revealed that Carrey has already started to ponder on a movie adaptation of the material. The actor even, reportedly, described it as “extraordinary,” with his vision that “famous actors” would play “other famous actors.”
He then cited Christian Bale playing the role of Nicolas Cage. When asked, though, who would play Jim Carrey, he responded with a simple, “Ryan Gosling.”
He revealed who his “greatest love” is
Alongside the “apocalypse,” Jim Carrey also touched on his previous romantic links in the book, according to Cheat Sheet. He claimed that Renée Zellweger is the “great love” of his life.
The publication recalled that Carrey and Zellweger met in 1999 on the set of Me, Myself, and Irene. They, reportedly, “clicked” shortly after their encounters. There were even engagement rumors surrounding them as they always appeared on red carpet events together.
A year later, however, the romance between them ended. But, despite the short period, the Sonic The Hedgehog star refers to his former partner as a “gem of a human being.” Meanwhile, the Judy actress spoke of the relationship in the past as an “unexpected thing,” noting that it was “wonderful.”
Reports said that Jim Carrey married twice before meeting Renée Zellweger. His first wedding happened with Melissa Womer, in 1987, and the second with Lauren Holly, in 1996. He also, reportedly, had romantic links to Linda Ronstadt, Jenny McCarthy, and Ginger Gonzaga.
