Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s legal battle is still ongoing, but one tabloid alleged that it already ended Depp’s career.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are embroiled in a legal battle years after their divorce was finalized. One outlet claimed that it doesn’t matter if he wins or loses the case because regardless of the outcome, his career is irreparable.
Johnny Depp career allegedly over after Amber’s allegations
National Enquirer published a report with a headline that read, “Pirate Johnny’s Career Could Be Sunk After Trial!” The tabloid quoted an anonymous source claiming that regardless if he wins or loses, Johnny Depp’s career would be over because the controversy “leaves him tainted no matter [the] outcome.”
The outlet argued that Amber Heard’s photos and testimony were too disturbing to bounce back. The questionable source added that Depp was “damaged goods in the public’s eyes.”
It also concluded that the Fantastic Beasts star would have a tough time finding producers who are willing to attach him on their projects. It concluded that “his ship may be sunk.”

Career over rumor debunked
Gossip Cop refuted the report. Apparently, it was one-sided and even summarized Johnn Depp’s side of things in a single sentence. That he accused his ex Amber Heard of being a “calculating, narcissistic sociopath.”
The rumor-debunking site said it was suspicious that it mentioned a recorded confession from Depp, which he denied. But it failed to mention the audio recording of Heard admitting to hitting Depp, which leaked earlier this year. The Aquaman star also denied and insisted that it was edited.
Also, the latest update of the case favored Depp. He won a delay so he can prepare for his film Fantastic Beasts Gossip Cop noted. But per Deadline, the delay was not for Depp but due to the COVID-19 delays and backlogs in the Commonwealth’s court system. Initially, Amber Heard didn’t want to delay the hearing because she would also film Aquaman 2.
As for the claim that Depp’s career is over, that is certainly not true. In fact, as mentioned, Depp will be filming Fantastic Beasts. Also, he had two films released this year, Minamata and Crock of Gold – A Few Rounds with Shane McGowen.
Gossip Cop also noted that the exes’ legal battle is still ongoing, so making decisions ahead would not be accurate and insightful.
Johnny’s fans seeking justice for him
Also, it’s not true that Johnny Depp is a damaged good to the public. He still has a lot of supporters who are seeking justice for him.
Depp’s fans are hoping that the verdict for his libel case against The Sun will be out this month. They are also hopeful that it will favor Depp.
