Johnny Depp and Amber Heard could come face to face with each other at a trial next week.
According to Daily Mail, Johnny Depp’s lawsuit against The Sun will head to trial starting to Tuesday. The actor’s camp asked the court to ban Amber Heard from watching the events unfold until she’s called to the witness stand.
Johnny Depp’s request denied
Depp’s legal team said that Heard was not a party in the litigation. As such, she doesn’t have any business being in court.
However, Justice Nicol refused to grant Depp’s request. He said that the Aquaman actress could attend the trial if she pleases. However, it is still unclear if Heard will be there.
“She [Heard] will not be in a position to give instructions to NGN’s lawyers, but she can provide information on which the defendants may choose to act. There is a benefit to the defendants in her being able to do that near-instantaneously in the course of Depp’s cross-examination and, in my view, it would be unfair to the defendants to deprive them of that advantage,” Nicol said.
Johnny Depp accuses Amber Heard of having a threesome
Last month, Depp and Amber Heard made headlines amid accusations that the actress had a threesome while they were still legally married.
Depp accused his ex-wife of having an affair with Elon Musk and Cara Delevingne. However, Musk has been adamant at denying Depp’s claims.
Elon Musk denies affair claims
The Tesla billionaire released a statement to Page Six saying that he was never intimate with Delevingne.
“Cara and I are friends, but we’ve never been intimate. She would confirm this. Also, I wish to confirm again that Amber and I only started going out about a month after her divorce filing. I don’t think I was ever even in the vicinity of Amber during their marriage!” he said.
Musk also gave Depp a piece of advice regarding his lawsuit.
“Regarding this lawsuit, I would recommend that everyone involved bury the hatchet and move on. Life is too short for such extended negativity. Nobody is going to say, after it’s all over, that they wished the court battle had lasted longer!” he said.
Johnny Depp’s request to James Franco
However, this didn’t stop Depp from releasing more accusations against Heard. His team is asking James Franco to release all his communications with The Rum Diary actress.
According to Standard, Amber Heard and Franco were together 24 hours after the actress claimed that Depp threw a phone on her face.
