On the second day of Johnny Depp’s trial against The Sun, the publication’s lawyer stunned him with the accusation that he slapped Amber Heard three times, along with other allegations.
Sasha Wass, The Sun’s lawyer, claimed Johnny Depp slapped Amber Heard in the face for laughing at his tattoo. The tat in question is the actor’s tribute tattoo to his ex, Winona Ryder, which he had changed from “Winona Forever” to “Wino Forever.”
The incident that allegedly upset and disappointed Johnny Depp
The attorney revealed the 57-year-old actor attacked his wife when she laughed at his newly-altered tattoo. Allegedly, he was drunk at the time, and his ex-wife’s laughter angered and disappointed him.
“You then, Mr. Depp, slapped Ms. Heard across the face,” Wass said in the court, Page Six noted. “You slapped her more than once because after you slapped her the first time, she didn’t react.”
When the Aquaman star just eyeballed her then-husband and only stared at him, it made him even angrier. “And you slapped her again,” Wass accused.
Johnny Depp denied the accusation, saying it was “patently untrue, not correct, and it didn’t happen.”

Johnny Depp’s alleged jealousy and anger
As the cross-examination continued, Wass also recalled the allegation of abuse allegedly happened in March 2013 at Amber Heard’s house.
At the time, Johnny Depp was reportedly angered by the painting of the actress’ ex, Tasya Van Ree, hanging in her bedroom.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star acknowledged he could be jealous, but he never took the painting off the wall. He also didn’t try to set it on fire like the model’s claim, nor did he slap her when she tried to stop him.
“I did not hit Ms. Heard, and furthermore, I have never hit Ms. Heard,” he insisted. He then refused all the allegations of violence that Wass tried to throw at him.
The alleged volatile personality of Johnny Depp
Wass also tried to hit him with an allegation that he might have had his memory impaired by drugs and alcohol. According to AP News, Wass wanted to make it appear that Johnny Depp had a “volatile personality” due to his drug habit and even an anger-management problem.
Although he admitted that he was taking both illegal and prescription substances, he denied Amber Heard’s claim that he “became a monster” when under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
“I was angry, but that doesn’t mean I have an anger problem,” Johnny Depp explained. “I also express myself by laughing. I don’t have a humor problem.”
