Johnny Depp’s lawyers believe a new deposition will help clear his name amid the defamation case filed against Amber Heard.
A witness, named Trinity Esparza, revealed she saw bruises on Amber Heard while Johnny Depp was away in a different country. She saw hand marks on the 34-year-old actress’s neck two weeks after the actor, allegedly, hurled a phone at her.
The evidence that will clear his name
Esparza is the head of the concierge of the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles. It is the same place where the 57-year-old actor owned five suites.
In the signed deposition, Esparza swore that she saw a mark on the Aquaman star’s left cheek. It was the opposite cheek that the latter claimed her ex-husband, allegedly, injured.
“She dropped her keys down the elevator chute,” she narrated, per Mirror Online. “She had bruises on her neck and a Band-Aid.”
The lawyers asked if Johnny Depp was in the country at the time she saw Amber Heard with bruises. Her simple answer to that was “no.”
Aside from this, the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s legal team revealed they have a “series of claims” that would clear his reputation.
“It turns out, Amber Heard actually was damaged in June 2016,” lawyer Adam Waldman explained.
At the time, she had “finger-shaped marks on her throat, bandaged arm, and a bruised left eye.”
“The one person we know did not do it is Johnny Depp,” he explained. “Who had been on tour and out of the country for [two] weeks.”
The deposition is now approved to be used in the $50-million defamation case made against Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend after she claimed she was a victim of domestic abuse. It will also be used as evidence in Johnny Depp’s libel suit against News UK after The Sun named him as a “wife-beater.”

Amber’s claims against her ex-husband
Amber Heard claimed that Johnny Depp hurled a phone at her in May 2016. She showed the court the photos of her bruises at the time.
She also wrote an article in the Washington Post that portrayed her as a survivor of domestic violence. Although she never dropped her ex-husband’s name, the speculations made against him resulted in losing his iconic role as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean movie series.
The libel suit of Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp is about to arrive in London for his libel suit on Saturday. He will be in a two-week quarantine after his arrival to make sure he has no novel coronavirus, per Daily Mail.
After Amber Heard claimed she was a victim of domestic abuse, the musician managed to turn the tables by revealing his ex-wife is the real abuser. There were even text messages and recordings to prove his claim.
