It has been almost three years since Johnny Depp and Amber Heard parted ways, but they’re still facing a messy legal battle. They have already reached a divorce settlement. However, the actor filed a $50-million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife after the 34-year-old accused him of domestic abuse.
A treat for fans
The Pirates of the Caribbean star gave his fans a treat on Instagram. After he joined the photo-video-sharing app in April to connect to his followers, he now thanked them for their support.
“Sending you all my love,” he captioned the short clip. “And thank you for staying on this long road with me. JD.”
Although the singer-musician didn’t directly say what the long road he mentioned was, some believed it was his legal battle with his ex-wife. In the clip, he was playing his guitar in his home studio for almost two minutes and dedicated it to his fans.
A lot of celebrities noticed Johnny Depp’s post and even left some comments. The legendary singer-songwriter Patti Smith said, “Always happy to track though the joyous mire with you.” That’s So Raven star Rayven Symone also gave him a “corona hug.” Mandy Moore’s ex-husband, Ryan Adams, also left praise, fire, and heart emojis on his post.

Johnny Depp joins Instagram
Johnny Depp joined Instagram in April and instantly gained millions of followers in just a few days. As of this writing, he now has 4.7 million followers, and it may continuously grow.
According to Movie Web, this is the first time that Lily-Rose Depp’s father joins social media, given the fact that he’s very privy. So, to explain why he finally decided to join in, he posted an eight-minute video, detailing his reasons.
“This is my first experience within the world of social media. I’ve never done any of this before,” he said. “I don’t think I’ve ever felt any particular reason to until now.”
Johnny Depp revealed it was the COVID-19 pandemic that incited him to do a social media account. He knew that the coronavirus outbreak had caused a lot of tragedies and damages to many people’s lives. So, he urged everyone to stay safe and stay at home. He also encouraged them to take advantage of their quarantine time and do something productive and creative.
