Johnny Depp’s image as Joker reveals he’s perfect for the role

A new The Batman movie is about to come, led by Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne. It has a stellar cast, from villains to supporting characters, but what if Johnny Depp joins the fun?

Although Johnny Depp is not part of The Batman, a man tried to picture him as the supervillain Joker. Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker movie was a huge success last year. So, will there be a chance for Amber Heard’s husband to play the role of the iconic antagonist?

Johnny Deep as Joker

It remains to be seen if Joaquin Phoenix’s version of the Joker will appear in any films from DC Extended Universe. So, fan artists create their own versions of the antagonists played by other Hollywood stars.

This time, William Gray, a creator of pop culture-inspired Photoshop pieces, shared his own interpretation of the Joker using Johnny Depp’s image. “Here is a quick 40-45 minute edit of @johnnydepp as the Joker in The Batman – Done in Photoshop,” he captioned the snap.

According to We Got This Covered, among the many actors in Hollywood, only a few can play the role of the Joker perfectly. Surely, one of them is the 56-year-old actor.

Although he may fear being typecast if he ever does this, he has played several roles that are quite scary. He played disturbing characters in Alice in Wonderland, Sweeney Todd, Black Mass, and Fantastic Beasts 2, among others. So, there is a possibility that he can do it, too.

Robert Pattinson’s The Batman

The Batman features some of the iconic DC Comics villains. There is The Penguin (Colin Farrell), Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), and The Riddler (Paul Dano).

However, Gray’s take of Johnny Depp as the Joker just showed that Amber Heard’s ex-husband could be a great addition to the Matt Reeves film. Heroic Hollywood noted that there are several actors suggested playing the role of the Clown Prince of Crime. Some said Macaulay Culkin could perfectly play the role, while others wanted Willem Dafoe.

But the image of Johnny Depp as the Joker revealed how intimidating he could be. His purple suit, yellow shirt, and bloody smile hinted how he could ruin everything with just his looks. So, if ever Reeves introduced this villain in The Batman, the Pirates of the Caribbean star would be a perfect choice.

Details about The Batman are under lock and key. However, it is believed to tell the story of a young Bruce Wayne. Here, he will use his detective skills to a greater extent compared to other caped crusader’s movie adaptations. As this will be the first part of Reeves’ planned trilogy, Johnny Depp can join the second or third movie.
