Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 153 will finally return after more than a month of hiatus.
Weekly Shonen Jump drops a major teaser for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 153, inciting its return after Gege Akutami’s lengthy break. The release of a new promo just proves the manga will officially make a comeback.
A New Promo Inciting Series’ Return
Yuji Itadori is about to make his way to the Culling Game. Sukuna’s vessel is now preparing for a big fight as the tournament is about to begin.
However, according to Comicbook, those plans will not pan out as expected.
“Itadori is heading to Hakari for the Culling Game, but…!!” the teaser reads.
Though the promo is relatively short, it is enough to excite fans for the coming of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 153.
Yuji is now ready to face his fate, though he may first go through “some hoops first” before the game begins.
Chapter 152 ended in a major cliffhanger that would result in a rippling effect on the Jujutsu society when it continued.
After Maki successfully eradicates the Zenin clan, she has shaken the Jujutsu world to its core.
So far, there are no words yet on how Maki will move on after she avenges her sister, Mai. However, with her connection with Yuji, it will surely “rattle” the man.
Maki may go after Megumi. If this happens, Yuji has to stop her no matter what.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 152 officially ended the Zenin arc. From here, Weekly Shonen Jump’s editorial department and Akutami released separate statements about the manga’s hiatus.
“Due to Akutami Sensei’s health issues, Jujutsu Kaisen will be taking a break starting next issue,” the statement reads, via IBTimes. “Akutami Sensei wanted to continue working on the manga, but after a meeting with the editorial department, it was decided that the prudent course of action would be to take a temporary break to allow for any health issues to recover.”
Akutami, alternatively, confirmed he would take a much-needed break because of his health issues. He would take the time to recover but assured fans he had no serious illness.
“I want to reassure everyone that I am not suffering from any kind of serious illness and my mental state is strong,” he said. “I do apologize for the long wait. When I return, I will treat it as the start of a new series and do my very best.”
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 153 will be part of Weekly Shonen Jump Issue No. 35, releasing Aug. 2.
