Fans have been waiting for more updates regarding the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen movie. But as nothing comes at the recent Studio MAPPA 10th anniversary, a producer teases new teasers are coming soon.
Sure, fans have received little hints about the new Jujutsu Kaisen movie, but they are looking for a concrete teaser. Fortunately, the long wait will be soon over as there will be a big announcement coming.
New Updates Coming
Producer Keisuke Seshimo revealed they could not give anything about the film just yet, but they would announce “new things” soon.
“[W]e can’t tell you anything about the Jujutsu Kaisen movie just yet[,]” he said, via Comicbook. “But things will be announced soon in the future, so please look forward to that.”
MAPPA recently held a special Livestream panel to celebrate its recent anniversary. They showed off all of their projects, headed by the new anime series Chainsaw Man.
Though there was a presentation for Jujutsu Kaisen, it did not give any significant updates about the Jujutsu Kaisen movie.
So, fans are still patiently waiting to know more about the film.

Movie Updates and More
Meanwhile, the earlier updates about the film reveal it will adapt Gege Akutami’s prequel series, Tokyo Metropolitan Cursed Technical School.
Fans now know it as Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High, released in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine before Jujutsu Kaisen itself.
It will follow the story of Yuta Okkotsu instead of the main character, Yuji Itadori. Fans will now learn why there is a big fuss about a brief mention of Yuta’s name in the first season.
The update also reveals his origin story in a new character profile the franchise releases, along with an official character design.
“When he was a child, he lost his childhood friend, Rika, whom he had promised to get married with, in a traffic accident in front of him and he was haunted by her [after she] became a curse,” it reads.
“He has avoided contact with people because Rika hurts people around him with her enormous power, but he vows to break the curse of his ‘beloved’ when he meets Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu Technical College,” it continues.
So far, this is the only known thing about the much-awaited movie.
The franchise has started to gain traction after the anime’s release. Its debut season turns a massive hit among fans that it also makes Akutami’s manga sell like hot pancakes.
Its popularity has incredibly increased which gave birth to the new movie. However, as fans expect an announcement about the anime’s second season, the franchise unveils a new film instead.
The new Jujutsu Kaisen movie will drop on Dec. 24.
