Jujutsu Kaisen may have only started in October 2020, but it has now become one of the most sought-after anime series. As it turns to be a fan-favorite shonen animes, its voice actors, Adam McArthur and Kaiji Tang, talk about their time in the series.
McArthur plays the role of Yuji Itadori, while Tang voices Satoru Gojou in Jujutsu Kaisen. The two brush on different topics, like talking about the show itself, their characters, and more.
Satoru, Yuji’s voice actors, talk about the series
Just like fans, the two are also drawn to the series, thanks to its very intriguing plotline and horror genre. Being included in a popular show, they said they are pleased to be a part of it, hoping it will keep going for a long time.
McArthur found his character, Yuji, a hard-working employee with a “simple motivation.” In fact, for him, Yuji’s life story is something he has never portrayed before.
“There are also some dark moments in the journey of the ‘good’ boy,” he said, via Epic Dope.
On the other hand, Tang saw Satoru as a “powerful character” who is both arrogant and vulnerable. His power is on another level, and his looks is the most handsome character he has played so far.
In addition, McArthur revealed it was a challenge that voice actors didn’t do the recording together due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the challenge, it was never a problem at all. It has been known that another actor does the voice of Sukuna while living in the same body as Yuji.

Jujutsu Kaisen one of the best titles of 2020
According to CBR, Crunchyroll’s Year in Review revealed Jujutsu Kaisen was one of the network’s top titles of 2020. It had successfully beaten big anime series, like Boruto and My Hero Academia.
The show might be a newcomer, but it effortlessly made a huge impression. In fact, it has created more noise than Re: Zero and Tower of God.
Despite its supernatural horror theme, Gege Akutami’s manga has become one of Crunchyroll’s “most-viewed” new releases.
The network’s year-end infographics revealed it was a fan-favorite in 71 countries and territories. Boruto only got 32, while My Hero Academia only had 23.
However, this number doesn’t include Japan’s TV ratings yet, knowing it’s a Crunchyroll exclusive. Anyhow, it just shows how famous the anime series is all over the world.
Jujutsu Kaisen is continuously conquering the TV screens with the impending start of its second cour. Hence, it will surely gather more ratings and fans.
