Jump Force has been announced for Nintendo Switch. There will be new characters.
Bandai Namco just revealed the Jump Force Deluxe Edition that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. With that, players will see beloved characters from Dragon Ball, Naruto, My Hero Academia, One Piece, and more battle it out. In total, there will be over 50 characters in the game.
New Characters Added
Aside from the announcement of a Nintendo Switch version, Bandai Namco also announced new characters to the game as part of the second character pass. The new character pass will add in names from Hunter x Hunter, Yuyu Hakusho, Bleach, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, and My Hero Academia.
For the last one, the character to be added is none other than everyone’s favorite fire and ice user, Shoto Todoroki. Based on the trailer for Todoroki, Bandai Namco has done a great job of incorporating his abilities to the game as players can use an assortment of both ice and fire abilities.
Bandai Namco is yet to announce whether or not the game will have a third character pass, but for sure, fans would want another expansion of the roster. As of now, a lot of fan favorites are still missing from the game, and their respective fans are eager to see them once again.
What is ‘Jump Force’
It’s a fighting game developed by Bandai Namco in cooperation with Shonnen Jump. With that partnership, Bandai Namco was able to bring numerous characters from the acclaimed manga series.
It’s a fighting game featuring three versus three battles, and players are free to form any team they like from the selection of characters available. Aside from the usual versus mode, Jump Force also includes a story mode wherein players are able to create their own character to lead the story.
The game was met with mixed reviews at launch because of the bland combat and basic story mode. Still, a lot of players like the game because it was a mishmash of manga characters in an epic brawl.
Jump Force will release sometime this year for the Nintendo Switch. Despite the mixed reviews on the fighting game, players should be very excited about this still as they’ll get to make their dream anime matches come true with this title.
