Junkie XL says his score for the ‘Snyder Cut’ is very different

Share

Junkie XL, who worked on the first version of Justice League, just revealed that his upcoming Snyder Cut score is different.

After Zack Snyder’s exit from the theatrical release, they also removed the 2017 Justice League composer. But now that the original Snyder Cut is just a few days away from its arrival, Junkie XL revealed how his music would be different this time.

The DCEU installment will make its way on the HBO Max later this month.

Junkie XL speaks on the ‘Snyder Cut’ soundtrack

While speaking to TheFilmJunkee, Junkie XL talked about his music in the DC film’s original version.

Speaking on his Snyder Cut soundtrack, he mentioned that the focus would be on the movie’s four-hour length.

“The two-hour cut I was working on in ’16 and ’17 was just like hammering and hammering, you know, to get to the end of it. And now, when people see this movie, there are insane action sequences, but when you come down from it, there are ten to fifteen minutes of storytelling where you really understand what the world is, where these characters come from, and what is at stake.”

According to him, the past version was just about ending the project. And it wasn’t about the characters or the story at all.

The unseen cut will add many new layers of intense action sequences, synced with a powerful score.

The Snyder Cut stars the same cast from 2017’s theatrical cut. Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Rey Fisher, Ezra Miller, and Jason Momoa will reprise their superhero roles.

It will also introduce the first-ever live-action version of DC’s supervillain Darkseid, voiced by Ray Porter.

Upcoming DC entries in the future

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is currently gearing up for a lot of new DC-based content. Due to the pandemic effect, it suffered a lot of delays last year.

The Batman and The Flash movies saw a significant pause in their filming. Simultaneously, the Matt Reeves directorial stars Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader, Andy Muschietti’s title will bring back Ezra Miller as the fastest man alive.

Other upcoming DCEU movies are The Suicide Squad, Black Adam, Shazam 2, and Aquaman 2. The latter is expected to begin to go into production this summer.

The third part of Wonder Woman will also arrive in the coming years. Warner Bros. officially confirmed it at the end of 2020. It will bring back the duo of director Patty Jenkins and actress Gal Gadot.

Coming back to the Snyder Cut, it’s releasing on the HBO Max streaming service on March 18th.
