Justice League Snyder Cut: Batman ALMOST fell in love with Lois Lane

Share

Justice League Synder Cut almost provided a love triangle story after Superman died.

Before releasing Justice League Snyder Cut, Zack Snyder came forward and revealed one of his shocking original plans.

Zack Snyder has been known for his breathtaking scripts and thrilling directions. But who would have thought that he also opted to create a bizarre love story in the Justice League franchise?

Per the director, Batman (Ben Affleck) almost fell in love with Lois Lane after Superman passed away. However, this never happened as Joss Whedon came in and finished the project on his way instead.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Snyder divulged that the events on Batman V Superman caused him to create such a plotline.

However, when he realized that resurrecting Clark Kent was the only way to possibly save the world, he decided to let go of the plan.

“We had this beautiful speech where [Bruce] said to Alfred: ‘I never had a life outside the cave. I never imagined a world for me beyond this. But this woman makes me think that if I can get this group of gods together, then my job is done. I can quit. I can stop.’ And of course that doesn’t work out for him,” he explained.

Snyder Has Vast Ideas for Justice League

Apart from this story, the filmmaker actually had three versions of the Justice League script.

Initially, he worked with Chris Terrio to finish the first version of the group film before releasing Batman v Superman.

The third script he prepared for this can be seen in the upcoming Snyder’s Cut on HBO Max.

Before its release, he already clarified how the new film would be different from other DC films. Per Snyder, the four-hour movie will be a one-shot flick. It means that the whole Snyder’s Cut will run for four-hour straight.

Also, ComicBook confirmed that Snyder did not add after-credit scenes, and it will only have a four-hour purely pre-credits runtime.

Though post-credit scenes are usually presented, the absence of it on this one makes sense since it will be Snyder’s last project for DC.

In December 2020, Walter Hamada wrote on a New York Times profile that Snyder’s Justice League will be a storytelling cul-de-sac. During that time, he confirmed that Snyder would no longer create more DC Films after Justice League Snyder Cut.
