Justin Bieber allegedly refused to stop contacting Selena Gomez and had been secretly communicating with her about his mental health. However, the claim was false.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez broke up a couple of years ago. The Sorry singer is already married to Hailey Baldwin. However, fans still associate them with each other, and one tabloid even claimed that Bieber didn’t want to cut ties with Gomez. However, one should take the report with a grain of salt because there is no piece of evidence to support it.
Justin Bieber still in contact with Selena Gomez
A year ago, RadarOnline published a report claiming that Justin Bieber refused to “stop contact” his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. The Yummy hitmaker is reportedly asking Gomez for advice about his mental health.
Bieber also allegedly told the Kill Em With Kindness singer that she looked “amazing” when she promoted her movie The Dead Don’t Die. However, the claim is unlikely true.
Justin and Selena’s communication debunked
However, according to Gossip Cop, the report was not true. It is unlikely that the exes are still in contact.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had an on-again, off-again relationship. But both have already moved on from each other. Also, the report has many loopholes.
First, the report did not mention when Bieber contacted Gomez. Second, it did not specify how Bieber contacted his ex-girlfriend if it was via text, phone call, direct message, or in person.
Also, in February this year, Bieber said that he was getting better.
“This time, I took the time to really build myself and focus on me, and try to make the right decisions,” Bieber said. “And yeah, I got better.”
Selena allegedly suffered emotional abuse from Bieber
Selena Gomez also implied in an interview with NPR that she suffered emotional abuse from Bieber. She briefly mentioned it when she explained her song, Lose You To Love Me.
“I felt I didn’t get a respectful closure, and I had accepted that, but I know I needed some way to just say a few thing that I wish I had said. It’s not a hateful song; it’s a song that is saying – I had something beautiful and I would never deny that it wasn’t that. It was very difficult and I’m happy it’s over,” Gomez said.
When asked if she was referring to Bieber, she responded, “You had to get the name in, I get it.” In the same interview, Gomez confessed, “And I’m not being disrespectful, I do feel I was a victim to certain abuse,”
When prompted if it was “emotional abuse.” Gomez said, “Yes.”
Bieber and Gomez are enjoying a reasonable distance and are not planning to reconnect.
