HBO Max confirmed that their newest quarantine cooking show would feature singer and actress Selena Gomez.
The year 2020 continues to be the time that the streaming war heats up. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, millions of people across the globe sought entertainment in streaming platforms.
With this at hand, WarnerMedia will release its newest entry into the streaming wars, HBO Max. Alongside this release comes a flurry of other shows dropping on the platform and one of these is Selena Gomez’s quarantine cooking show.
HBO Max’s quarantine cooking show
The network announced had You to Love Me singer will star in a new quarantine cooking show for HBO Max. The show is issued with a straight-to-series order for ten episodes and is slated to premiere this summer.
On this yet-untitled series, Selena Gomez will navigate unfamiliar territory by making delicious meals while being stuck at home in quarantine.

The star will be joined remotely by a rotating cast of master chefs, who will share invaluable tips and tricks about cooking. The unscripted series will also highlight different food-related charities.
The head of the original content of HBO Max expressed her excitement to have Selena Gomez in their first wave of programming on the network. She further said,
“Blending her determination with top-tier culinary artists is sure to entertain and educate viewers about something we’re all trying to work through — how to make cooking at home exciting, fun and delicious.”
Selena dreams of being a chef
Selena revealed that this show has given her the opportunity to realize her dreams of being a chef. The singer/actress also mentioned how she loves food and that she looks forward to her upcoming cooking show.
Gomez stated,
“I’ve always been very vocal about my love of food. It would be fun to be a chef. I definitely don’t have the formal training though! Like many of us while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen.”
Gomez is also executive producing the series, collaborating again with Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman. Other producer credits on Gomez’s resume include the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why and the upcoming feature, The Broken Heart Gallery.

How to watch the show
The quarantine cooking show of the singer will drop on HBO Max. The streaming service will be available on all devices, including phones, tablets, computers, and televisions.
Fans who take an interest in streaming the show will need an HBO Max membership, which will cost $14.99/month. HBO Now members will have access to HBO Max without additional cost.
