Justin Timberlake is not safe from any criticisms. In fact, he suffered more after Framing Britney Spears revealed what he did to Britney in the past.
A new The New York Times’ documentary arrived this week, and it publicized what truly happened between Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. The new flick, titled Framing Britney Spears reveals everything the singer experienced throughout her career.
It also tells the story of Spears and her mental health challenges as she suffered from the media’s poor treatment and the stress her father, Jamie, caused her.
Despite that, she chose to respect herself and pledged to remain a virgin until marriage. But in one of the scenes, Timberlake playfully answered the query whether he ever slept with Spears and said that they already did it.
The Sexy Back singer also claimed that she cheated on him, which caused them to break up in 2002. He revealed the infidelity even more in his 2002 song, Cry Me a River.
Spears’ fans slammed Justin Timberlake
Timberlake immediately stole the spotlight and became the trending topic this week.
Spears’ fans quickly came forward and defended the singer against his damaging remarks in the past.
Ashley Alese Edwards said, “once again, justin timberlake is only relevant when he’s talking about britney spears and janet jackson.”
“OK JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE IS GARBAGE HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARBAGE WILL ALWAYS BE GARBAGE… now he wants to apologize over his past bullsh*t since he was called out in the documentary,” another one penned.
Another added, “LMAOOO Justin Timberlake being this months super villain is making me laugh for some reason. i mean it’s very over due but y’all are really letting him have it.”
Timberlake said sorry
Following the massive backlash he received, Timberlake posted a lengthy statement to address his past behavior and apologize to Spears.
This is a story about accepting people for who they are, and who they want to be… no contingencies, no questions asked. As a dad, this story hits home. And I’m honored to be part of this film by #FisherStevens and #CherylGuerriero. Can’t wait for you guys to see it Friday 🙌🏻 pic.twitter.com/XsRyhWD5an

“I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right,” he said.
Timberlake specifically apologized to Spears. He also said sorry to Janet Jackson for failing them despite his care and respect toward the two individuals.
He did not mention why he apologized, though. But it has always been clear that Spears and Jackson were once victims of Timberlake.
In the end, he said that he suddenly felt the need to respond to everyone’s questioning.
