K-Pop Bullying Scandal: How will this issue affect K-Pop stars?

It all started in the volleyball scene; now, the school bullying scandal has reached the K-Pop world. The names of Jo Byung Gyu, (G)I-DLE’s Soojin, Park Hye Su, and other Korean stars are now in the headlines due to the K-Pop bullying scandal.

As the issue now affects the Korean broadcasting programs, what will be these stars’ futures, along with their shows? Are the K-Pop bullying scandals all true? Are these stars really get involved in bullying when they were in school?

The K-pop stars’ shows’ futures

Soojin’s name has been dragged in this issue, but she and her agency already dropped an official statement about the situation. However, it looks like the scandal has already affected her group and their gigs, per Koreaboo.

(G)I-DLE’s appearance on Gossip Idle has now been canceled. Soojin is set to appear here as one of the hosts, along with the other members and Miyeon.

Though no one reveals the reason for the cancellations, it looks like it has something to do with the scandal.

A lot were also surprised when Park’s name had been involved in bullying. With her innocent face, how could she do so?

Her agency already denied the rumors, but several more bullying accusations involving her emerged online. Her alleged victims were also commenting on her Instagram posts, demanding an apology from her.

This issue affects Park’s projects, and some of her appearances are already canceled, too.

Lastly, Jo also denied the K-Pop bullying scandal that is now surrounding him. Despite that, there are still a number of stories about the bullying incidents involving him that are materializing.

Though none of his projects are canceled yet, it looks like the public is already suspicious of him.

The rise of the K-Pop bullying scandal

Aside from Soojin, Park, and Jo, several personalities are affected by the growing K-Pop bullying scandal.

According to Yonhap News Agency, there are about ten K-Pop stars affected by this issue. The K-Pop group Stray Kids member, Hyunji, is also, reportedly, guilty of this problem.

There are also rumors that Monsta X’s Kihyun has something to do with this. In addition, Loona’s Chuu, allegedly, bullied her classmates back then.

Although the news is yet to be confirmed, their names are already part of the “online school violence complaints” from the past week.

Sure, their agencies are doing everything to clear their names and deny the rumors, but the accusations are still on the rise. There are a string of revelations about these past incidents that keep coming here and there.

As the K-Pop bullying scandal is now spreading like wildfire in online communities and on social media, it will surely affect the K-Pop stars’ reputations.
