Kanye West received good and bad news at the same time as he swept awards after being reported to the police.

Kanye West jetted to London despite the fact that the status of coronavirus pandemic is not getting better yet. Unfortunately, his travel caused some concerned locals to report him to the authorities.

On Friday, Kanye attended Kim Kardashian West’s product launch at Selfridge. After supporting his wife, he immediately drove to the Dorchester Hotel and a side trip at the Queen’s Park.

However, his essential travel alarmed the locals that they ended up reporting the rapper to the police.

Kanye broke the protocol

According to a report published by The Sun, Kanye did not complete his supposed two-week quarantine when he arrived in England.

As stated on the COVID-19 health protocols, a person shall undergo a 14-day quarantine to ensure no symptoms will arise. Those who refuse to follow the guidelines could be fined up to £1,000.

“We are aware of reports of a possible breach of quarantine legislation and have established that the individual left the UK on the same day as they arrived,” a Metropolitan Police representative said.

“Therefore, we will not be pursuing this matter at this time.”

The news outlet then confirmed that he returned to the US after the claims emerged.

Kanye received good news

Despite the troubles he faced, Kanye scored four awards at the Billboard Music Awards.

Out of nine nominations, the 43-year-old star brought home four awards.

The recognitions include Top Gospel Artist, Top Christian Artist, Top Christian Album, and Top Gospel Album.

Following his success, the rapper immediately thanked his fans through his social media accounts.

“Thank the Billboard Awards, thank all of my fans, thank all of my Christians that’s been praying for me, praying for the day when I would serve the Kingdom,” he said in a video he recorded inside an SUV. “You know, God just keeps showing up. The incredible increase and the favor.”

Meanwhile, he captioned the post on Instagram with, “Thank God for the favor the increase and these YEEZY SLIIIIIIIDZZZZ.”

Kanye is also scheduled to appear on Joe Regan’s Podcast following his win. He had been expressing his desire to appear on the program multiple times.

On Oct. 17, he finally hinted that his wish came true, and Regan allowed him to design the set for his appearance on Friday.
