Kanye West and Jennifer Aniston are at odds after the Friends alum discouraged the people from voting for the Gold Digger rapper. Kim Kardashian’s husband reacted by criticizing Aniston’s popular sitcom on NBC.
The rapper was not pleased with Jennifer Aniston’s Instagram post that seemed to shade his presidential candidacy. Kanye West took to Twitter and subtly shaded Brad Pitt’s ex-wife by writing, “Friends wasn’t funny either,” Harper’s Bazaar reported.
West is referring to Aniston’s sitcom on NBC that aired for 10 years. However, he has since deleted the tweet.
Last week, Jennifer Aniston took to Instagram and shared a photo of her mailing her ballot. In the caption, she announced that she voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
The Murder Mystery star also criticized Donald Trump for not taking the racism issue seriously. Aniston accused the POTUS of treating racism as a “non-issue.”
Before she ended her message, she also called out the people and discouraged them from supporting Kanye West.
“It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible,” she wrote.
Kanye West announced his bid for the presidency on July 4. At the time, he announced that he wanted to “realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future.”
On Oct. 12, West dropped his first campaign video after his presidential bid. He shared the video on Twitter and Instagram, where he explained why the citizens should strengthen their religion and faith to improve America.
“We have to act on faith with a sure knowledge that we are pursuing the right goals and doing the right things. We will build a stronger country by building stronger families. Families are the building blocks of society, of a nation. By turning to faith, we will be the kind of nation — the kind of people — God intends us to be,” he said.
“I am Kanye West and I approve this message,” he concluded the ad.
Just like Jennifer Aniston, her ex-husband Brad Pitt also endorsed Joe Biden. Since they supported the same candidate, their fans immediately speculated that it meant something more.
“Hey Jen, don’t tell other people how to vote. It’s not your business or your privilege,” one wrote.
“As I understand it from media reports during his split with Angelina Jolie, he’s a deranged dope addict with emotional issues,” one commented.
Meanwhile, some just urged Pitt and Aniston to just get back together and not get too involved in politics.
