Kate Middleton has, allegedly, started giving Prince George and Princess Charlotte more chores now that they are older.
According to Heat magazine, the Duchess of Cambridge’s tough mom rules for her two older siblings includes helping with Prince Louis. Prince George and Princess Charlotte must do their chores in between their homeschooling.
A source told the tabloid that Middleton has cut back on her hired help while there is a lockdown in the United Kingdom. After all, she has given her two older children more responsibilities.
However, this doesn’t mean that the royal siblings cannot play. They simply must finish their chores first before they could have fun.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte follow mom’s rules
The insider claimed that Prince George and Princess Charlotte follow their mom’s strict rules. The siblings, allegedly, know that this is the only way for them to be able to play on their iPads or watch TV.
“They’re old enough now to help with a lot more around the house and it’s been made clear to them that everyone has to do their part. They help with everything from grooming the dogs and filling their feed bowls, to folding laundry and tidying up around the garden,” the source said.
The insider added Prince George and Princess Charlotte also help their mom prepare food during meal times. And the siblings also help clean up afterward.
“The number of chores is fairly challenging for kids so young, but George and Charlotte haven’t complained. Their parents are extremely proud of them,” the source said.
Royal siblings love to cook
As of late, Prince William and Middleton have not yet said anything publicly about giving their two children chores. As such, it is best to take the claims made by the tabloid with a grain of salt.
But in March, Matthew Kleiner-Mann, the chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust, detailed his conversation with the Duchess of Cambridge. He said that Middleton told him that she has been teaching her kids how to cook.
Prince William’s kids, reportedly, enjoy cooking, and they also cook for their mom every now and then. There was a time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte cooked cheesy pasta for their parents.
Kleiner-Mann also said that the royal siblings divide the tasks amongst themselves. If one is stirring the flour, the other one is putting the other ingredients.
Additionally, Prince George and Princess Charlotte also enjoy making salads.
