Even though the royal couple is self-isolating with their three children, the Duke of Cambridge said that they served chocolates to commemorate the occasion.
While speaking on the Royally Obsessed podcast, commentator Roberta Fiorito played an audio recording where the Duchess of Cambridge hilariously reprimanded her husband for eating all the chocolates at home.
“Kate totally shaded William there, I loved it!” Fiorito said.
Her co-host, Rachel Bowie also found it funny that Middleton blamed Prince William for eating all the Easter bunnies.
“It’s nice to picture their Easter with that happening. They’re keeping [the chocolate] away from George, Charlotte, and Louis and William kind of sneaking it all the way through. I think they really delivered on giving us a visual on what their celebrations look like,” Fiorito said.
The royal commentators also weighed in on Prince William and Middleton’s video interviews via Zoom.
Since they cannot make public appearances due to the coronavirus pandemic, the royal couple holds discussions at the comfort of their own home.
Bowie said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Zoom calls have made them more relatable than ever.
Prince William and Middleton also made headlines this week after they greeted Queen Elizabeth on her 94th birthday.
On their official Instagram account, the royal couple uploaded a photo of themselves with the monarch.
Prince William and his wife kept their greeting short and simple. Unlike the previous years, they won’t be able to spend the Queen’s birthday with her.
Her Majesty and Prince Philip have been on self-quarantine at Windsor Castle since last month. As of late, it is still unclear the lifting of the lockdown in the United Kingdom will take place.
During an interview with BBC, the Duke of Cambridge expressed his concern for his grandparents and Prince Charles during the coronavirus pandemic.
The dad of three said that his grandparents and Prince Charles are susceptible to COVID-19 because of their age.
Last month, the palace confirmed that the heir to the throne tested positive for coronavirus. The Queen and Prince Philip have been safe from the illness.
Prince William confirmed that the royal family is doing everything that they can to make sure that the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh won’t test positive for COVID-19.
